A Carleton University bursary, awarded annually to an Indigenous student in demonstrated financial need who is entering any undergraduate program of study in the Sprott School of Business. The bursary is $5,000 and may be continued for 3 years of full-time enrollment, provided the student remains in good academic standing and continues to demonstrate financial need. Endowed in 2020 through the generosity of Humphrey Law, BComm/57.

How to Apply

You must be an Indigenous student who has applied and been offered admission to Carleton's School of Business (Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of International Business), entering the first year of the program and pursuing post-secondary studies for the first time. You must demonstrate financial need, by completing and submitting the application form.

Complete the entire 2026-2027 application form and submit it directly to Carleton's Awards and Financial Aid office at awards@carleton.ca. The form asks for your Carleton Student ID. Proof of Indigenous identity is a mandatory part of applying for awards limited to Indigenous (First Nation, Métis or Inuit) applicants; Carleton lists the accepted documents on its Confirming Indigenous Identity for Awards page. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Deadline: October 31 (the form prints no year).
