Provider
Value
$20,000 for each recipient: $5,000 a year over four years of full-time study.
Deadline
No application: automatically considered

Seven of these are awarded each year, one per full-time program, to the student with the highest final admission average in that program's cohort. Each recipient receives $5,000 a year for four years of full-time study, $20,000 in all. There is nothing to apply for — every applicant is considered automatically on their final admission average — and it cannot be combined with the Founders' Academic Merit Scholarship or the Renewable Entrance Scholarship.

How to Apply

You must be entering post-secondary studies for the first time, into any full-time degree program offered by the University of Guelph-Humber, and be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person. The award goes to the one student with the highest final admission average for their program, calculated on the top six 4U/M level courses or a recognised equivalent, inclusive of the program-specific subject requirements. It cannot be held with the Founders' Academic Merit Scholarship, the Renewable Entrance Scholarship, the University of Guelph's President's and Chancellors' Scholarships or the University of Guelph's Board of Governors' Scholarships.

There is no application. Applicants are automatically considered on their final admission average. To keep the scholarship you must carry 2.0 credits or more in both the fall and winter semesters and achieve a minimum 80% cumulative average in the previous academic year; courses completed on a Letter of Permission do not count towards the course load. Missing renewal one year does not end your eligibility if your cumulative average later rises back to 80%. It is renewable for three calendar years from the term of admission and is credited to your university account in two equal payments, one at the start of each of the fall and winter semesters. No renewals are issued for the summer semester.
