How to Apply
- Eligibility
- Application
You must be currently registered in an eligible post-secondary HVACR or related program, remain enrolled after the submission deadline, demonstrate financial need, consent to HRAI being told whether you complete the program, complete every section of the application and submit it by the deadline. The program must have HVACR as its principal focus. Eligible examples include public or private career-college programs, provincial apprenticeship programs, sheet metal, refrigeration and air conditioning technology, gas fitting, and HVAC-focused mechanical engineering. Programs that only touch on HVACR technologies, such as Power Engineering, are not eligible.
Use the January 2026 HRAI application; earlier versions are not accepted. Complete every section, have your instructor complete the Instructor Declaration, and either email the completed application to the address in the form with the subject line “Bursary Submission,” or print and mail it to HRAI at the address in the form. Late or incomplete applications, including forms with missing sections or signatures, are not considered. HRAI's web page and application disagree about the spring deadline, so this listing publishes only the November 30 deadline on which both sources agree.
